One Standout Feature in Every GTA Game
Whenever we talk about the GTA franchise, one thing is clear, it has consistently delivered legendary titles for over two decades. Each game feels like a masterpiece, and my personal connection with the series has only grown stronger with time. Instead of reviewing the franchise as a whole, let’s dive into the one special feature I loved most in each GTA game.
Grand Theft Auto III – The Train
The standout feature for me in GTA III was the train. After playing Vice City first (which lacked trains), I always felt something was missing. When I finally got GTA III, the very first thing I noticed was the train system and I loved it. Even though the gameplay felt a bit downgraded compared to Vice City, the train made the world feel alive.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Vibe
My all-time favorite, GTA Vice City, had an unbeatable vibe. The neon lights, beaches, palm trees, and clubs created a vibrant Miami-inspired setting that was simply unmatched. The atmosphere, music, and bright visuals made Vice City feel more enjoyable than any other GTA game. Sadly, no later GTA captured that same energy, which is why Vice City remains my favorite.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – Multiple Cities
The magic of GTA San Andreas was its multiple cities. After Vice City and GTA III, I always wished for a game where I could fly from one airport to another, take long drives, and explore countryside areas. San Andreas fulfilled that dream. Traveling between Los Santos, San Fierro, and Las Venturas felt like a real road trip, complete with breaks and detours. That freedom made San Andreas unforgettable.
Grand Theft Auto IV – Physics
The highlight of GTA IV was its physics. Whether it was car damage or ragdoll mechanics, GTA IV set a new benchmark for realism. The vehicle damage system was so advanced that even GTA V couldn’t surpass it. Back in 2009, watching GTA IV gameplay online felt surreal, it looked almost like real life. For me, the physics were the crown jewel of GTA IV.
Grand Theft Auto V – Online Mode
Finally, GTA V brought my long-time dream to life: playing GTA online with friends. GTA Online allowed us to fly planes, drive cars, cause chaos, and compete over money and vehicles. I spent thousands of hours in GTA Online, far more than in the single-player mode. It wasn’t just a game, it was a social experience that defined an era for me and my friends.
